This is Lakeview Cottage!!!!<\/p>\n

I am so glad you are here at my blog, Lakeview Cottage Kids!  I hope while you are here, I can help you find crochet patterns for lovely items for yourself and the children in your life.  Also, I’m ready to assist you with learning to crochet, trying new stitches and turning yarn into beautiful hats, scarves and lots of other beautiful items!<\/p>\n

I have loved crochet, knitting, sewing and crafts all my life. I taught in these areas as a middle school teacher and now, in retirement, I felt that a blog, Etsy shop, and Ravelry Store were the perfect fit for me. And…..I love it!<\/p>\n

I am a crocheter and knitter from way back. I learned to crochet and knit back when I was a teenager.  I learned from my very creative mother and grandmother and since then I’ve never looked back. I’ve made hats, scarves and sweaters for myself, my daughter and my grandsons! And, now I offer those designs and readymade creations to you! I hope you will love them and will want to make some yourself!<\/p>\n

I love designing and creating hats and blankets for babies and children! I am totally inspired by the colors in my gardens and the interests of my grandsons, their mom and their friends!<\/p>\n

I also design and offer ready-made items for busy moms, too. Feel free to browse through all the Sections of my Etsy Shop. I think you might find the perfect gift for babies, children and, even yourself, as you see all the lovely listings!!

I am the mother of one daughter and the grandmother of 2 boys! I am married to a wonderful man who continues helping people as a gifted dentist.  We live on a gorgeous lake in Central Wisconsin and also spend time each week in Door County, Wisconsin. I am a retired educator (Home Economics teacher for 20 years and Library Media Specialist for 13 years) who loves kids and loves crochet! What a great combination for designing Cute and Cozy Items!!  I have also taught crochet, knitting, food preparation classes and professional development to adults throughout my teaching career!  <\/p>\n

I also love spending time gardening and enjoying lake living…..boating, fishing, and kayaking…..with my friends and family.  Our Catholic faith is very important to us and we love participating in our church community, too! <\/p>\n

Well, that’s a little bit about me and life at Lakeview Cottage Kids!!  (By the way, my blog and shops are named after our lake home and my grandsons (the Kids)!  The name of our home is Lakeview Cottage and we truly love it!)<\/p>\n
