Here is the “Rebekah” Baby Blanket pattern! At first glance it looks complicated, but it is quite easy to make and is perfect for your newborn baby! Of course you can choose any color to make for a boy or a girl. This is the perfect year-round blanket for your precious little one.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Size: One Size ( 32 inches x 34 inches).
Materials Needed:
Yarnspirations Bernat “Bundle Up” 100% polyester yarn, (#4 weight) Color: Marshmallow
Each skein is 4.9 oz./267 yards (140 g/(244 m)
Machine wash, gentle, on warm. Tumble dry on low. Do not over dry.
The color and amount used in this blanket are:
Total Amount of Yarn for the Blanket: 818 yards (15 oz.). Basically 3 skeins
- Color A – 818 yds
– Crochet Hook: Size “H” (5.00 mm)
- Scissors
- Yarn Needle (Used for working in loose yarn ends.)
- Finished Size: Approximately 32 inches x 34 inches
- This pattern uses US Crochet Terminology
Stitches Used in the Pattern:
– ch = chain
– sc = single crochet
– dc = double crochet
– sl st = slip stitch
– Cluster (CL): *YO (yarn over), insert the hook in specified st and draw up a loop to the height of a dc; YO and draw through 2 loops*; repeat from * to * two more times in the same stitch, YO and draw through 4 loops. This makes a Cluster (CL).
– Shell: In specified stitch, work (dc, ch 1, CL): the shell is made.
Gauge:
Stitch Multiple: 3 + 2
(You can adjust the size of your blanket by using this stitch multiple to make your blanket as small or as large as you want.)
4 inches = 4.5 Clusters across x 6 rows down
Blanket Pattern
Chain 102.
Row 1: Work a CL in the 5th chain from the hook; *skip 2 chains, work Shell in the next chain*; repeat from * to * across the row. End the last repeat with a dc (instead of the Shell) in the last chain; Ch 4, turn.
Row 2: Work a CL in the base of the Ch 4. *Work Shell in the top of the dc of the next Shell*. Repeat from * to * across the row, ending the last repeat with dc (instead of a shell) in the 3rd chain of the turning chain. Ch 4, turn.
Row 3 – 50: Repeat Row 2.
Do Not Fasten Off.
Border:
Round 1: Ch 1. Work 2 sc in the corner stitch. (This is your first corner.) Then, working down the first side, work 1 sc in the top of each stitch until you reach the next corner of the blanket. Work 3 sc in the corner stitch. (Second corner.). Work 2 sc in each dc space down the next side. Work 3 sc in the next corner stitch. (Third corner.). Work 1 sc in each stitch down the next side. Work 3 sc in the corner stitch. (Fourth corner.). Work 2 sc in each dc space down the last side. Work 1 sc in the corner stitch next to the 2 sc done at the beginning of the round. (This is back at the first corner.) Sl st to first sc.
Round 2: Ch 1. Work 2 sc in the middle sc of the corner. (This is your first corner.) Then, working down the first side, work 1 sc in the top of each sc until you reach the next corner of the blanket. Work 3 sc in the middle sc of the corner space. (Second corner.). Work 1 sc in each sc down the next side. Work 3 sc in the middle sc of the corner. (Third corner.). Work 1 sc in each sc down the next side. Work 3 sc in the middle sc of the corner. (Fourth corner.). Work 1 sc in each sc down the last side. Work 1 sc in the same sc done at the beginning of the round. Sl st to first sc.
Fasten off and weave in the loose ends.
