Another Lovely Baby Blanket Pattern Is Here! Free!!
Blankets and Afghans . Patterns - Blankets and Afghans
As you probably know, I love designing and making baby blankets! And, so, this week my new design is called the “Baby Girl Stripes” Baby Blanket!
Inspiration
Last week the gorgeous cherry blossoms popped open here in Door County, Wisconsin!!! They are beautiful and tourists and locals alike are wowed by their beauty. Not only are individual flowers so pretty, but the acres upon acres of trees in the cherry orchards are breathtaking when the white blooms are in full flower!! So, as my husban and I went on our annual cherry blossom ride last week, I was totally inspired to make this baby blanket using predominantely white with soft pink accents…just like the colors of the lovely and beautiful cherry orchards.
Yarn
The yarn I chose to make this design with is Caron Simply Soft and the colors are White and Soft Pink. The weight and drape of this yarn are always the perfect choice for my baby blankets and so I put it to use again. And, again, the final product turned out so perfectly!!
Stitch Pattern
The entire blanket is made using a stitch combination called the “Cobblestone” Stitch. And I just love how easy it is to make and I especially love the texture of the finished blanket!!
The free pattern follows, but if you would like to purchase the ad-free PDF version you can get it in my Etsy Shop, Just click the button below for it. Otherwise the entire pattern is here.
Hope you try it. The finished blanket makes a beautiful baby shower gift, too!
