Loveys to Make for Your Little One Tonight!! 2 New Patterns!!

Blankets and Afghans . Patterns - Blankets and Afghans

Do you know a child who has become totally attached to a stuffed animal, a toy, or a blanket?  And, they can’t go anywhere without their favorite item?  I know quite a few children like that.  If the child has chosen a blanket to focus on, they carry and drag it everywhere to the point that it can get really dirty.  So Mom sneaks into their room at night to take the said blanket and washes and dries it before the little one wakes up.

I know a little boy (who is now 16) who became so attachead to a baby blanket I made for him when he was a newborn.  He carried that blanket around all the time for years until it was just a pile of threads.  Finally, when he was about 8 or 9, his mom contacted me and asked me to make another one just like it for him.  He was no longer carrying it around but did sleep with it every night.  So, I did.  The blanket that I made was a crib size blanket but it was quite a large thing for a little one to carry around.  So, the point of this post, is to present 2 patterns for “loveys”  (really small blankets) that are a small version of a blanket that is easy for a child to carry along.

The two patterns that I have designed are called “The Chloe Lovey” and “The All In A Row Lovey”.  They are both quick to make and great for gifts!

Enjoy!
