It's so sweet and cute. My little Genny has got such a present from her aunt. She also knits. You must get to know each other. It would be a great possibility to broaden the scope of your hobby.
Thank you so much x
Very cute. Thank you for sharing .
Wow! Such a cool crochet this is. Really I need to learn how to make this. I followed your process of making this cute hat, but still unsuccessful. Every time i want to make this, some problems appear suddenly. And I don't know actually why this happens. Anyways thank you a lot for sharing. It would be very much helpful for the new mothers. Babies normally look very cute in these crocheted outfits. And it looks even more special if it is made by own mother.

The post about babies are really beautifull interesting more related this type
Spectacular afghan. Love the color and the design of the pattern, will make this winter. Thanks so much for the pattern.
Is the scallup edge supposed to be smooth on the top and bottom edge and a ruffle on the two side edges?
The ruffle should actually look pretty much the same all the way around. Be sure you are skipping a stitch between the 5 dc and 1 sc around.
Chris
I am but the row before the scallop has 2 sc in each space on the sides and only sc on the end rows?
Hi Jean,
You have pointed out a mistake in the row before the scallop……it should just be 1 sc in each double crochet stitch all the way around. That should make it look the same all the way around. Thanks for your comments and questions. I will fix it now.
Chris
for the first row at the end it reads in the last 3 chains to skip 2 chains and then work 3 dc in last dc should it be work 3 dc in last chain then chain 3 and turn?
Yes, it should be 3 dc in the last chain. Thanks! I will change that now.
Hi Christine, any plans on making a video tutorial for this blanket? It is beautiful.

I'm confused there is no space before the end dc at the end of the 1st row.
nice post
Thank you for the free pattern. I crochet for preemies, could you give me the starting chain for about a 20"X20"
Thank you for taking the time to publish this information very useful! nature's sleep mattress reviews
I’m confused, at the end of row 1 DC 3 into last chain & then Ch3, then at beginning of Row 2 3DC into space before first DC. Would that be the space after the chain? If so, then the rest of the pattern for row 2 seems off??? Please clarify
Hi Carol,
Thanks for contacting me. At the end of each row you will work 3 dc in the space before the last dc. (The Ch 3 doesn’t count as the last dc.) Then Ch 3 Turn and do 1 dc in the space after the last dc that you made in the previous row. It may seem like it would be off, but it really does work. Hope this helps. Thanks for your question and for your business. I would love to see you finished project! Also, if you still have a question please contact me again.
Best Wishes
Chris
what is the name of the color of the print Bernat Soft & Cuddly yarn? I am having a difficult time finding it.
The color is called “Baby Baby”. Thanks for asking!
Chris
I found the yarn. It’s Bernat Baby Coordinates & the color is BABY BABY.
It’s available @ Walmart & JOANN fabric & crafts.
I am really struggling with this pattern. To begin with my first row only wound up 26 inches long. No way is my blanket going to be 34 inches wide. I crochet tight according to my small group leader at church. I am using #3 yarn and 5.5 hook. I’m afraid to go up too much on my hook size. Is there a formula I can use for making mine wider? Also, starting row 2 is not making any sense to me at all. I purchased the download thinking it might show more examples of the steps but it didn’t. I even checked out some of your videos and nothing there to help with this project either. A video would be awesome. I had no trouble until I got to row 2. There is no space before the 1st dc to start row 2 in. Row 1 ends with the 3 dc’s in the last chain. Please help me! I really love the pattern and wanted to make the blanket but it’s not looking like it will happen.
Hi Sheila,
I’m sorry to hear that you are having some problems with using my pattern. I hope I can help you with some of your concerns. First, did you chain 115 chains to start the blanket? Also, if you do crochet tightly, I would recommend using a larger hook, Size J hook might suit you better. Also, I have created a YouTube video tutorial that will hopefully answer some of your questions. This is the URL of the tutorial.
https://youtu.be/tkgC2iRT3dg
Please let me know if these suggestions help.
Best Wishes,
Chris
Hi again, Sheila,
I wanted to tell you that the Chain Multiple for this blanket is 9 + 7. So, by using that multiple you should be able to chain to the size you would like without running into any problems!
Chris
Hello!
I’m about to start on this pattern for my soon to arrive niece or nephew, and am wondering what the starting chain multiple is? I tend to make baby blankets a bit bigger than the “standard” so that they can get a bit more use as the littles grow.
Thanks! 🙂
Hi Beth,
The chain multiple is 9 + 7. Please let me know if you have any more questions!
Best Wishes,
Chris
