Love these! Thank you for making it so simple and easy to read.
I do have one question, what is that you have on the inside of the hat? I love to crochet hats, but they never seem warm enough for our Midwest winters, and I've been wanting to figure out how to add a layer of fabric on the inside of my mats.
This is great and I'd like to make one. My problem is that I have crochet a lot, but I hav never used a pattern. I am wondering what hdc means and all the other references that I am unfamiliar with. Is there somewhere that explains that to me?
HDC = Half Double Crochet
In the child age 3-10 pattern, you forgot to put where to change back to the colour a from colour b.
Love how my hat turned out with this pattern! Just wondering if you have posted the fleece liner instructions? I can't seem to find them. Thanks!
vous avez de tres beau minions .comment avoir le patron . es ce que vous avez des patron de chouette j ignore comment vous envoyer mon adresse je vous remercie de m envoyer sur facebook mercie
you refer to using "magic circle" for the beginning of each hat..i'm just wondering what is the "magic circle" ??
The magic circle is a great way to start your hat. Please take a look at the Tutorials section of my blog. There you will find the video tutorial for making the Magic Circle. Thanks for asking!
Chris
It is a fleece lining! Directions for adding it will be coming to my blog soon! And, it really does make the hat so much warmer and snuggly!!
Chris
If you just Google any term that you don't understand, you will find all kinds of information to help you!! Best Wishes!!!
Chris
Haven't posted that tutorial yet, but, coming to the blog soon!!
thanks i found how to do it… on the child 3-10 years pattern u forgot to mention where to end with the black and start the yellow again ,before starting the blue…??
The color change back to Color A – Ducky has been included in the Child 3 – 10 years pattern. Sorry for the mistake. Thanks for your patience!
Chris
Thank you so much for this pattern.
I can no longer keep count of the number of times that I've used this pattern, everyone loves minions! It is a great pattern, I love it and I can't thank you enough for sharing it 🙂
Thank you so much!
You are truly awesome.
Christine….a quick question: Is the measurement of the hat height…is it measured for the height of the hat only or to the tip of the earflap? The body of my hat looks way too short for the measurement given ( I crochet with a loose tension too!), or to follow any other online hat size chart….I think I'm going to have to add several rows…unless the height you list on the pattern is including the earflaps!

I also found that the instructions for size 3-10 years is too short despite my loose crocheting. I'm making it for my three year old nephew and I tried it on my two year old daughter (who has a smaller head for her age) and it just barely fits her. I'm going to make another one and this time I'm going to add at least two or three HDC rows of the ducky color.
Other than the size discrepancy it is a nice pattern nonetheless. Thanks for sharing!
Whenever I have some free time, I visit blogs to get some useful info. Today, I found your blog with the help of Google. Believe me; I found it one of the most informative blog. buy youtube likes
Thank you for this pattern, my grandson will love it!!
(I did notice that on the teen/adult pattern, Round 10-13 you wrote..
DO NOT fasten off yarn. Fasten off yarn… I know it would be to fasten off.
It is an informative post.
